What could this be I wonder?
That’s right, you guessed it, it’s yet another review. But, this review is of a new salon that has recently opened in Baring Road.
Recently, I’ve been feeling quite pensive about my hair, it was hanging around my face in quite a dull way. Until I thought, enough is enough, it’s time to get a new style into my hair and have some life injected into it.
So, with my newly made decision of having a new hair style, I also choose to try a new salon and let me tell you my hair has never looked better.
63 Baring Road
The shop was easy to access from the street due to it’s distinctive light blue colour. The shop is easy to access via the 261 bus route and by foot from any point in Baring Road.
The shop is spacious, light and the decor is easy to the eye, in gentle shades of white with a shabby chic feel.
The owner was also very welcoming towards my guide dog which would put any salon into my good books!
There would be enough room for someone with a wheelchair, guide dog, or push chair to access the salon and not to have any issues.
The owner of the salon was extremely friendly, talkative and reassuring as a hair dresses. She gave some good advice and explained how she intended to cut my layers into my hair and advised me on a style that I could manage. In my opinion she is the ideal hairdressers, confident in what she was doing, whilst listening to the needs of her client and taking those into account. In short, she was able to create a new hair style for me, but keeping me within my comfort zone. As the length of my hair was what I wanted to keep.
Quality of Service: 5/5
For the price of £27 (first time price, but usually would cost £35) I definitely got what I paid for and am extremely happy with my new hair. It feels much has much more volume and body to it with an actual style. This will definitely be my new hairdressers of choice.
