London Fashion Week!

A key date in any fashionistas diary around the world, all eyes are kept firmly on catwalks of Somerset House to see what the most current and prestigious designers have in store that will set the president for the trends for the entire year.

Designers such as Burberry, PPQ, Mulberry, Vivienne Westwood to Henri Holland, from the contemporary styles to the classic ones the trends that we see are the very things that will affect what you, the consumer, buy in months to come.

So, stay tuned with me whilst I take you through my favourites from each day of London Fashion Week with detailed descriptions and some key examples of where you can find examples of the trends on the high street.

Jean-Pierre Braganza

Braganza, a leading fashion designer originally from Canada with a keen interest in tailoring and attention to detail. This season his love for tailoring and definition can be seen in his latest catwalk collection featuring an array of two piece suits, pencil skirts, cigarette pants and long oversized coats. The colours that the designer is utilising for this season is a mixture of metallic such as gun metal and silver as well as navy blues and blacks to create a sophisticated street style for the year.    What I love about Braganza’s new catwalk collection is his use of texture, shape and a combination of layers to create optical illusions and attention to certain aspects of an outfit. And of course the long glove detailing is a key favourite of mine, as I always say, an outfit is always made better with a pair of gloves! Below are a selection of my favourite pieces from the Jean-Pierre Braganza catwalk show..

Look One: Model wearing black tailored trousers over black heeled peep toe boots. The jacket is an oversized blazer style jacket in a grey tweed material with leather detailing to the arms and pokiest. The look is finished off with a black leather collar in the style of a bow tie.

Look Two: Model is wearing a dark metallic grey two piece suit consisting of a 3/4 length top and loose fitting collates that is cut in a loose fitting style, the material is a shimmery kind in a Jacquard print. This creates a dramatic affect and paired with light grey long leather gloves and black patent heeled boots and of course the essential statement necklace, it is one of the highlights of this catwalk.

Look Three: Model is wearing black tights along with grey heeled shoes with detailing on the ankle. Alongside this she is wearing a navy blue long sleeved, polar neck jumper teamed with a dark grey metallic Jacquard print short sleeved dress and teamed with a silver statement necklace this is a look that speaks sophistication and practicality.

Look Four: Model is wearing black, footless tights along with black peep toe leather ankle boots and a midi black empire line dress with leather detailing to the bottom. This is paired with a stunning grey coat in a Jacquard material and black trimming. The look is finished of with long black gloves.

So, thats it for Day 1, stay tuned for more fashion favourites from Day 2!
