It’s been a fabulous time at London Fashion Week and now with London Fashion Weekend open to the public in all its glory it’s time to conclude the fifth and final day of the catwalks. Today, I will be brining you the highlights from my favourite Catwalk shows.
Tata-Naka, a brand truly after my own heart, the brand was founded by two designers by the names of Tamara and Natasha Surguladze. Feminine, adventurous and striking this is a brand that expresses contrast, romantic style and drama. It is a brand for those girls with a romantic and adventurous style, but one who is not a slave to fashion and instead embraces their own style. This season the brand has taken patterns, the 50s outline, embellishment and colour to an new level. Here is a selection of my favourite pieces from the catwalk…
Look One: Model is wearing silver ankle boots combined with a midi dress with 3/4 sleeves in a sheer black material and a tule skirt. The dress has a bold floral print to the dress in the two colours of light pink and deep red. The dress also has pink detailing to the sleeves and rounded neckline along with an overall polka dot detailing to the dress. This is a dress that really expresses bold florals in a dramatic way, with this look think feminine gothic princess.
Look Two: Model is wearing a pair of silver plat shoes and a long 50s style dress, complete with a circle skirt and a neckline that exposes the shoulders. The dress is in a colour of white with a royal blue ornate pattern that creates a diagonal square shape. This pattern reminds one of willow pattern plates, it’s a timeless piece and one I would be proud to own.
Look Three: Model is wearing a pair of gold flat shoes with blue detailing and a midi dress in a beautiful white lace, sheer material. The dress has long sleeves and a delicate neckline in a swirled cut, the dress has floral detailing to the pattern and instantly reminds me of the self same dress that Grace Kelly wore during her wedding.
Look Four: Model is wearing a pair of gold flat shoes with a long 50s style dress with a full circle skirt and 3/4 sleeves and a crew neckline. The dress is in a light gold pigment and features a white floral pattern on the dress, this is a timeless piece and shows the original Christian Dior New Look dress in it’s former glory.
Anya Hindermarch MBE, is a leading fashion and accessorise designer in the UK. But her recent collection of bags that she put on the catwalk has caused her to become one of the most talked about designers post LFW. Here recent collection of bags features an interesting variety of household and food related items, such as a bag in the design of Daz or a Cornflakes cereal box. For me, I am a huge fan of novelty fashion items, especially when it comes to bags, so this collection is one of my personal favourites. Check out my favourites…
Bag One: Model is wearing a bag that is in the shape of a bourboun biscuit with a long, gold chain strap making this bag perfect for nights out!
