Stand Out For Guide Dogs Week Inspired Hair Tutorial #LetsGlow #GuideDogsWeek

Greetings Everyone!

Welcome back to fashioneyesta.om!

Today once again I join you in the spirit of Guide Dogs Week and this time i am going to be showing you how to get bright, neon inspired hair for the Lets Glow campaign using hair chalk.

Now for those of you who aren’t up to speed, in a nutshell I myself am a Guide Dog owner, I am a supporter of the charity Guide Dogs. This year for Guide Dogs Week running from the 3rd-11th of October Guide Dogs asked me to product some neon inspired looks for people to wear for the week in support of the #LetsGlow campaign in which Guide Dogs want all of the UK to sport neon in support of Guide Dogs Week.

So, here I am and today I am going to show you how to put a bright of the glow into those locks of yours!

I personally love hair chalk because its really fun, its temporary and you can wash it out afterwards.

I filmed a video over on my YouTube channel which you can view below.

But, as I always do I am also going to talk you through a step by step guide of how to apply hair chalks in a blog.

I personally used The Body Shop hair chalks in pink and blue. But, there are plenty on the market like this, they come in these little pots and they are very easy to apply to the hair.

You Will Need

Hair: Naturally-preferalbly hair thats a day old from washing to ensure that the chalk has something to stick to and your hair has a bit of grip.

Hair Chalk: Any of your choice I would recommend the Body Shop hair chalks.

Hair Straighteners-I personally use GHD hair straighteners.

Hair Spray-Any will do.

Cotton Pads.

Step One: Brush Through your hair. You don’t have to section it up, it is an option if you prefer. But you can be as messy with this look as you like.

Step Two: Take a small section of hair place the hair chalk onto the top part of your hair.

Step Three: Hold a cotton pad underneath the strand of hair, press down and pull it through the hair. Then…magic! You have colourful hair!

Step Four: Repeat as many times as you like, making sure to change colour for each piece of hair you take. Unless you want to use one colour.

Step Five: When you have finished applying hair chalk, take your straighteners and style your hair as you normally would. This helps to lock in the colour.

Step Six: Apply a generous amount of hairspray to keep the hair chalk and the style in place.

And you are done!

Top Tips

-Hair Chalk is messy! So wear gloves if you have limited vision or wear an old T Shirt to ensure that you don’t stain your clothes.

-Go for more than one colour, it adds depth to your hair.

-The hair chalk is only temporary, so pay attention to the weather on the day you plan to wear it.

So, that concludes my blog for today, I hope you liked it and it has inspired you to get your neon on for Guide Dogs Week.
