Welcome back to fashioneyesta.com!
Today I have an Outfit of the Day blog for you all, now about two weeks ago I went on a little trip to Hewitts Farm in Kent to do some filming for my recent video on my channel called ‘Embracing Autumn.’ Now that my video has been released I thought I would share with you all the shots that I took of my outfit that I wore for the day.
My outfit is very much inspired by my love of Autumn colours and prints and the current 70s trend that we are seeing an exceeding amount of on the high street.
To begin with my hat that I am sporting (which I will hasten to add was given to me by the amazing Gok Wan-true story) was originally from M&S. It is a burnt orange wool floppy hat with a black rope braid trim with metal detailing.
Paired with this I am also wearing a black high necked, long sleeved tunic dress with a print of little foxes and pink autumn rose blooms which was from the TU range at Sainsbury’s. Although it is not currently available on the website, it retails in stores for £16.
I teamed this with a simple long sleeved, button up, cotton cardigan in a burnt orange colour a shade or two lighter than my hat. The cardigan was from H&M and comes in a range of different colours. I buttoned this up at the waist and added a little brown waist belt bought from Next a few years ago. I added a little brooch onto my cardigan which is a little tawny owl brooch in muted metallic colours, which was a gift from my grandmother a few years ago. As I personally think that Autumn is the time to sport whimsical pants and brooches.
To continue with the brown accessory theme with the waist belt, I wore along with my black tights a pair of knee high tan leather riding boots with had gold buckle detailing which were bought from Sainsburys a year ago. Whilst they don’t have the ones I am sporting in this outfit they do have a pair very similar to the ones I am wearing currently available for £55.
For makeup I went with a amber toned eye makeup look, nude plum lipstick and black eyeliner. For my face I wore a gold shimmer toned highlight and a soft pink blusher. I curled my hair in lose waves to complement the hippie 70s style of my hat.
My outfit with the riding boots, tunic top and 70s inspired hat is very much a key look for this season and riding boots, 60s style tunics and 70s floppy hats are but some of the key pieces for Autumn/Winter 2015.
Below are the revenant links to the pieces in my outfit that are currently available online.
