I’m terribly sorry for my absence as of late, I have been somewhat of a scarlet pimpernel on the blogging scene for a few weeks. But, essay work will do that to you, I have to prioritise my essays when I get to this time of the year.
But, I thought I would do a little Outfit of the Day blog for you all today as I haven’t done one in a long while and I thought that it was about time that I did. Especially as today here in London, England we had the most beautiful, glorious sunshine and I thought I’d make the most of it with an outfit that paid a subtle nod to the recent Coachella vibes that we have been seeing in stores.
Because lets face it darlings, boho has still got it! Boho is never going out of fashion any time soon, every Summer without fail no matter what hot trend is in you will always be sure to find the likes of Monsoon, Primark and ASOS catering to all us boho girls (and guys too) which makes me extremely happy because my wardrobe pretty much consists of boho these days.
So today I had a productive day, first I was in London for a meeting with Guide Dogs and a producer from a media company (although for what I cannot say I’m afraid.) Then later on in the day I went off to Bromley to bag myself the new Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland Palette which landed in stores today. So I wanted something pretty casual, smart and appropriate for the balmy weather that was (for once) rightly predicted.
So, this is what I went for…
To start off my dress is an old affair that I have had lurking in the back of my wardrobe for some time. Its an ivory coloured dress from Mango with bell sleeves, a loose fitting empire line, the skirt finishing just above the knee. The design is detailed with crochet and floral detailing and the high neckline is in a crochet design which exposes the skin. This dress is utterly stunning and even though you can no longer purchase this exact dress there are plenty of similar ones on the high street as one of the big trends for this season is boho. So I’m sure you could find something similar to mine.
Next up my bag that I am sporting is a new find from Accessorise and its this lovely leather rose gold shopper tote bag with long handles, a decorative tassel on one side and an accompanying purse to add your essentials inside. This bag is absolutely stunning and I love the rose gold sheen, combined with the sleek leather material.
The bag retails for £65, click here to view.
Now onto my jewellery, my ring is this beautiful gold Fatima ring. The ring itself is beaded using gold dipped beads and elastic and attached is a little hand symbol detailed with small crystals.
The ring is from one of my favourite jewellery designers Anouska Woods and retails for £40. Click here to view.
My watch is my rose gold pearl watch from Michael Kors which I was given for my birthday last year. My necklace is a gold and learn dreamcatcher pendant which is again a birthday present which was from Etsy.
My glasses are my beloved rounded, amber coloured sunglasses from Miu Miu, these were the first pair of designer sunglasses I ever bought and I have truly got full value for money out of them.
I also love metallic temporary tattoos in the warmer months, especially with a bit of tan (fake or real, although mine is from the St Tropez bottle in my bathroom.) So, I added one with this outfit today to compliment the gold jewellery, its a gold feather which has been added to my under arm below my watch.
Finally, my shoes are my gold t bar latino style dancing shoes from Miss L Fire, again these were old stock. But they are the ideal shoe for a casual day out where you want to wear heels.
So, that concludes my little blog today, I hope you guys liked it.
Do let me know what you guys have been getting up to today too.
And I will see you again soon.
