Christmas Scented Candle Haul

Greetings Readers!

So I know its only November, but with all these Christmas adverts appearing on the TV and shopping centres being bedecked with twinkling likes can any of you blame me for starting to feel festive?

Christmas is one of my favourite times of year and there’s nothing I love more than burning a festive scented candle and watching a classic Christmas flick. But, there was just one problem, my scented candle collection has been running a little low as of late.

After seeing Sarah in Wonderland’s recent candle haul I had a case of candle envy. As a result I found myself being driven to visit Homesense to check out their range of scented candles and oh my gosh I wasn’t disappointed!

So today I thought I’d share with you all my recent Christmas scented candle haul. So, let’s get this show on the road, shall we?

Homesense is amazing for its wide range of scented candles all at very affordable prices. I bought six and only paid something £30 for all of them which I thought was an absolute bargain!

The first candle I got was one from the brand Makers of Wax Goods, this brand has rocketed to the top of my favourite brand for scented candles recently. Ever since my friend Helena got me one for my birthday earlier this year I’ve been obsessed. This candle is the large Ground Cinnamon and Clove Candle. This has a very warm and spicy scent, you can definitely smell the warm notes of Clove. It’s a generous size and the packaging is so festive in a deep red with gold detailing. This brand of candles are incredible and really do scent the room very strongly. I’ve bought so many from this brand now and have always been so impressed with how strong and amazing they all smell. Plus this candle was a snip at only £9.99!

The next candle was from a brand called Waxing Lyrical, see what they did there? The candle I got was in the scent Mince Pies. They were not fooling around when they called it that because it actually smells just like Mince Pies. It’s an incredibly warm and spicy blend with a sweet sugary undertone. Just smelling it takes me back to memories of baking with my mother on Christmas Eve with the warm smells wafting around the Kitchen, it’s the epitome of Christmas! Plus, it was a bargain at £3.99!

The next candle that found its way into my basket was by the brand Copenhagen Candle in the scent Vanilla Cookie. As you would imagine, this is a very sweet and sugary smell, it ever so slightly reminds me of the Vanilla Cupcake candle that Yankee Candles make. Vanilla is a go to scent for Christmas time, so I thought I’d add it to my haul especially as it was £2.99.

The next two candles I got were from the brand Wonderous Wishes. This brand certainly takes home the prize in the presentational stakes, the boxes are so incredibly cute and festive. One of the candles I got was in the scent Cinnamon Sparkles, this scent is incredibly warm and rich. Its blended with the spicy notes of Cinnamon, Amber, Clove and with a little Pine and Golden Pear for a more fresh undertone. I can really smell the sweet Amber notes in there which is what drew me to it in the first place.

The next candle is in the scent Holly Berry Wreath, this is more of a fresh scent and one that I would burn when putting up the Christmas tree. Its blended with winter greens, crushed holly leaves and berry notes. It’s such an uplifting scent and one to use on the days where you want a break from anything too spicy. I got both of these candles for £4.99 each and they are a pretty decent size too.

Finally for this haul I got another candle from Makers of Wax Goods, this was a smaller candle in the scent Red Currant. Red Currant is more of a tart smell, however there is a spicy element to it like Amber or Tonka. its hard to tell. This one was another bargain at £2.99.

That concludes this Christmas Scented Candle Haul, I really hope you all enjoyed it and its started to get you in the festive mood. I don’t know what it is, but this year I’m willing Christmas to come soon.

Do let me know what your favourite Christmas scent is and be sure to follow my blog for lots more upcoming Christmas posts.
