My Idea of a Perfect Lazy Day

Greetings Readers!

Welcome back to fashioneyesta.com!

Today I wanted to chat to you about my idea of a perfect lazy day in. What with it still being cold and miserable outside, I don’t know about you but lately all I want to do is stay indoors in the warm on my days off.

So today I thought it would be fun for me to talk to you  about the things I love to do on a lazy day.

So without further ado, let’s get this pyjama party started!

Fresh Bedding and Pyjamas

Call me weird, but one thing I love to do on a lazy day is to have new bedding and fresh pyjamas. I think, for me, feeling fresh and comfy is the ultimate essential to start any lazy day. I recently got this lovely duvet set with matching throw and cushion from JD Williams. The set is in the design called Linden Fern which is a beautiful leaf print design in muted shades of green against a white background. They are so incredibly soft and comfortable and nothing say lazy day to me like snuggling under the covers with a cup of tea…just be sure you don’t spill it in your eagerness to dive into them . JD Williams offer a wide variety of bedding on the website for different price points and in different colour schemes.

You can check out their bedding range by clicking here .

But then combined with that I also love going to Primark and treating myself to a new set of pyjamas for my next lazy day. So, combined with my new bedding and my pyjamas I was in seventh heaven!

Pampering Myself

Now for me a lazy day is all about taking time out of my life to be able to look after myself and take some much-needed time out for myself. I’ll light some scented candles, I’ll run a bubble bath and apply a face mask. Generally I just do things to take care of myself and make myself feel better and get ready for the week ahead.

I’ve really been loving Neom Organics scented candles lately because they are made with natural essential oils and they are created with holistic purposes in mind. I also love using Neom in the bath along with a Lush bath bomb (of course) on my last lazy day I used the Rose Bombshell Bath Bomb scented with Rose Oil, Lemon Oil and Yellow Rose Petals.

One thing I really enjoy doing on a lazy day is to use a sheet mask, I tend to find I don’t always get the time to use a sheet mask. As let’s be honest you really need to lie down when you use it, otherwise it’ll be slipping and sliding all over the place. So, I will take full opportunity of a lazy day to recline on my bed, listening to an audiobook and apply a sheet mask.

Sheet masks are great because they really give you skin a moisture boost and I personally feel as if it really conditions you into spending some time to relax and put your feet up.

I recently used this The Fairytale of Good Skin sheet mask set from Face Inc. I tried out the Unicorn sheet mask on my skin, yes you heard right it is a sheet mask made to look like a unicorn face.

Reading a Book

When I’m having a lazy day one thing I love to do is to give my mind some self care. As much as I love Netflix and Instagram, there are times where I crave to flick through the pages of a book. I have been really getting into the illustrated versions of the Harry Potter series by Tim Kay. The illustrations are utterly stunning and so immersive. Harry Potter has been and will always be my little peie of heaven, a gateway back into my childhood, my spiritual comfort blanket if you will. On a day when its cold and drizzly outside with the wind rattling against the windows, I will curl up and leave the mundane Muggle world behind.

Getting Organised

Now this last one may sound very odd to do on a lazy day. But, on a lazy day I make a point of getting out my planners and organises and get organised. I plan blog posts, pencil in appointments and meetings and generally get all of my plans onto paper. Sometimes life can get very hectic and in my view having a tidy mind is the best way to have piece of mind. So I like to extract my thoughts and transfer them into the pages of my planners. Theres something strangely therapeutic in organising your life!
