Pixi Tonic Collection: Which Should You Get? *

Greetings Readers!

Welcome back to Fashioneyesta!

Today I have a little skincare blog for you all, now it probably comes as no surprise that I love Pixi skincare. I’ve used their products for years now, their Glow Tonic and Rose Caviar Essence being among some of my favourite skincare products of all time. I’m very lucky to be sent products to try as a blogger.

If you are a fan of Pixi you may have hard that the brand have recently launched 2 new skin tonics to add to their collection alongside the famous Glow Tonic. But, if you are new to Pixi you probably will be wondering which tonic to try first.

Toners and skin tonics are essentially something you apply after your cleanser to remove any excess impurities or dirt. They help to close your pores and restore the skin’s PH balance, they are a key way to maintaining a good complexion and preventing things like blemishes and open pores.

Today in this short blog post I’ll be covering the ingredients and which tonic will suit your skin type best.

So without further ado let’s begin..

Glow Tonic

Glow Tonic is Pixi’s original tonic, its won countless awards and has a cult following behind it. I’m one of those fully paid up members of the Glow Tonic Fan Club, having used it for over 3 years now. It has become a key part of my skincare routine and has worked wonders for my combination skin. Glow Tonic essentially acts as a liquid exfoliator for your skin which is actually a great alternative to using a scrub, especially in the winter months when your skin is prone to getting dryer and more tight.

Dry Skin

Sallow Skin

Blemish Prone Skin

Rose Tonic

Anything with Rose extract is ideal for people who have issues with hormonal skin, redness and irritation. Rose helps to balance the PH levels of your skin and is a natural astringent. I’ve used the Rose Tonic for a few weeks now and I’ve found it has definitely helped with the redness I get when I have hormonal breakouts around my dreaded PMS! It’s also been very soothing for my skin around this time of year with the harsh cold weather and coming into the central heating. It’s very gentle and soothing on the skin and it has a delicate Rose fragrance to it.

Retinol Tonic

The Retinol Tonic is best suited to people with mature skin or those who are consciously trying to combat fine lines, wrinkles and early signs of ageing. Retinol is a powerful ingredient to help prevent signs of ageing, whilst peptides smooth and plump the skin and Jasmine helps to balance the skin. I gave this one to my mum to try to she really likes how gentle it is on her skin and how its made her skin feel softer and supple.
