Odylique

Odylique is a beauty brand that makes natural, fair-trade and cruelty free products from skincare, haircare and makeup. The mineral lipsticks come in a variety of shades from nudes to dark plums. The lipsticks are 100% natural and 86% organic. They are certified to both Soil Association and Fair Trade standards and are made from fruit and plant extracts and are free for carmine and synthetic ingredients.

Both the box and packaging are recyclable too.

I was sent 3 shades to try Raspberry Coulis, Cherry Tart and Fig Fondant to review

They come in a really wide range of shades and I absolutely love the different names all themed around sweets and desserts. The shades that I have described are all perfect shades to wear for fall, I have worn all 3 on different days and love the warm undertones they all have to them. I thin my favourite shade has to be Cherry Tart I love the warm red undertone it has, it’s a very rich shade and the sheer finish makes it very wearable.

The lipsticks have a very moisturising texture to them and give your lips a very pretty wash of colour. They are made with Organic Shea Butter and Jojoba which gives the lipsticks a very hydrating and comfortable feeling on the lips.  They are more of a sheer finish lipstick and I would personally apply them over a lip liner to intensify the colour and make them last longer. As they are a sheer finish they are easy to wear for an everyday lip colour, they are easy to apply either from the bullet or with a brush. I did have to reapply the lipsticks throughout the day, especially after eating. But then I did expect that from using a lipstick with a more sheer finish. They do apply a little lighter than they appear in the bullets themselves, but you can build them up if you want to intensify the shade.

The moisturising formula is perfect for the colder weather and I would say if you prefer a more sheer finish or you don’t like wearing colours that are too intense you would like the formula of these lipsticks. They wear well and they don’t apply patchy or uneven, they glide onto the lips.

All in all I really liked wearing these lipsticks I like the hydrating formula, the shade range is beautiful and I love the fact that the company are committed to ethically source the ingredients.

The lipsticks make for a great everyday lipstick if you just want something quick and easy to apply.

There are more shades in the collection, in all Odylique have 9 different shades. I’m keen to try, particularly Rose Parfait and Blackberry Smoothie.
