Spotlite HD Diamond 2.0: The Game-changing Travel Makeup Mirror*

Greetings Readers!

There are times in life where getting your makeup right can seem like an arduous task. We all make mistakes with our makeup that quite frankly we know we shouldn’t make…but we still do anyway.

Come on! Don’t pretend like you haven’t done your makeup in a vey dimly light room or used a mirror that is too small to see the whole of your face. We’ve all been there! Then in the cold light of day when we see our makeup where we haven’t blended it in or added too much, we despair inside.

When I travel, one problem I always face is putting on my makeup. The hotel rooms are often dimly light and the mirrors are always fixed to the wall; making it impossible to see close up. This is made even worse by the fact that I have a visual impairment and makeup application is hard for me at the best of times. Having Optic Nerve Hypoplasia and Nystagmus I need good lighting to do my makeup and the option to move my mirror closer with ease. But I haven’t always had this option. Luckily a new product has hit the market and I think it’s going to be an absolute game changer for us makeup lovers!

The brand Just Own It have released a mirror called the Spotlite HD Diamond 2.0. It’s a travel friendly mirror which has a host of useful features to make makeup application easier, no matter what situation you find yourself in.

First, let me list it’s features….

Key Features

  • It has dimmable LED lights that automatically turn on when it’s opened.
  • It’s portable.
  • It’s cordless.
  • It’s chargeable with a USB cable.
  • It has an extendable and height adjustable mirror.
  • The mirror can be tilted a full 360° degrees
  • It features a makeup holding tray.
  • It’s handheld.
  • It’s moisture proof.
  • It comes with a detachable phone selfie mount.
  • It comes with a wireless wall mount.
  • It comes with a magnetised 10x magnifying mirror.
  • It comes with a mirror wipe cloth.

There are so many things I adore about this mirror, I do not even know where to begin!

First, I’ll talk about how compact it is. It’s roughly the size of a small laptop and it folds down just like a laptop would. You can easily fit it in a case if you want to take it on the go. But its a decent enough size that you can use it as an everyday makeup mirror.

When you open the mirror the LED lights that are built in on their side of the mirror automatically turn on. But, you can turn them on and off with a small button at the right hand side of the mirror. You can also adjust the brightness and dim it as much as you need to. I really liked how bright the lights can go which made it really easy to see fine details. But, the dimmable element also meant that I could dim it if the lighting was too harsh on my eyes.

The design is really sleek and sophisticated, it comes in 3 different colours. It features rose gold detailing and a choice of white, blush or black in colours. It has a beautiful embossed front and it’s really easy to keep clean with the mirror wipe it comes with. It also comes with a small makeup tray which you can either have front facing or back facing. But it means that you can really easily do your makeup on your lap and have somewhere to place your makeup products.

One thing I really love about this mirror is its versatility. It can be handheld or you can place it on a flat surface and told the mirror and adjust it’s height to whatever suits you. You can also rotate it a full 360 degrees. Or you can fix it to the wall with a wall mount that comes with the mirror. You can also add the magnetic magnifying mirror to it for more close-up detail you may need to see. It’s such a user friendly product and speaking as a makeup lover who has a disability, that’s one of it’s standout qualities.

The mirror also comes with additional gadgets like a phone selfie mount and a 10x magnifying mirror which is magnetised so you can fix it anywhere on the mirror. The phone selfie mount I thought was an ingenious idea! The lighting of this mirror is so good that I would use this to take selfie photos and for Instagram stories when I am trying on makeup products.

The battery life of this mirror is very long lasting and I found that I could use it for hours once it was fully charged. It is chargeable via a USB charger lead. So you don’t have to worry about carrying bulky chargers when you’re on the go.

I honestly feel like this mirror was made for me and it’s a gadget that is actually going to make my life so much easier. In a world where so many gadgets are being released that can seem a bit pointless, it’s so refreshing to find a gadget that is so useful.

The Spotlite HD Diamond 2.0 is basically the Swiss Army Knife of the makeup world!
