These are all frequently asked questions I get asked on my blog, YouTube Channel and Instagram and so I thought I would put them all together in a FAQ page.
How long have you been blogging?
I have been a bloggsince July 2012 and have been YouTubeing since October 2012. .
Are you fully blind?
No, I am registered as severely sight impaired in the UK, I have 10 percent remaining vision in my left eye and none in my right. But I still have some remaining sight.
Why did you call your blog Fashioneyesta?
I decided to call my blog Fashioneyesta because its a play on the classic word fashionista, spelt with an I, so instead my blog is sounded as Fashion then eye sta. The eye reference is due to the fact that I have a visual impairment, but that with my remaining sight I use it to help make fashion accessible.
How do you get people to notice your blog?
It’s difficult I admit, but you have to make sure to promote your content well on social media. But of course the main thing is time and patience and a little help from some blogging neighbours. Make sure to cross network with other bloggers you post on their blogs and they post on yours. It really helps to broaden your audience and to spread the word about what you do.
What Camera do you use?
I use a Cannon 750d with a Sigma 17-55ml lens. Before I used Sony HX400v (which is a bridge camera) for my videos and blog shots and a Samsung MV400 which is my vlogging camera and I also use my iPhone.
What do you use to edit your videos and images?
I use Final cut and iMovie on my Macbook Pro to edit my videos.
i use Pic Monkey to edit my YouTube thumbnails and images and I also use Adobe Photoshop Elements to edit my photos.
What are your tips for blogging?
Blogging can be as fun as you make it, my tips are write about what you love, cross network with other bloggers and just go for it!

How can I get my hair to be the same colour as yours?
My hair is naturally red, but there are dyes on the market which you can choose from to dye your hair of a red shade. My best advice would be to speak to a hairdresser and ask them their advice, as sometimes dying your hair red my not be the right option due to your skin tone.

Labrador/Goldren Retreiver Cross.
What is your eye condition?
It’s called Septo Optic Dysplasia which affects the Optic nerves and I also have Nystagmus.
Won’t glasses help?
No, I would wear them if they did.
Can you read print?
Yes, but not for long periods of time.
Do you read braille?
Do you use any assistive technology?
Yes, my iPhone camera to take an image and to zoom in and my looky magnifying glass and voiceover, zoom and speak selection on my iPhone.
Do you use a cane?
I did used to, but not as much as I used to, I still own a number of them.
Where did you get your cane customised?
Glamsticks and Queen Alexanders College.
What did you study at University?
BA English Literature and now an MA in Children’s Literature.
Can I add you on Facebook?
