New Pixi Glow Skincare Collection: Review*

30th April 2019

A look at the new Pixi Glow Skincare Collection.

Greetings Readers!

Welcome back!

Today I have a new skincare blog post on some exciting new Pixi Launches. One of my favourite skincare products of all time is the Pixi Glow Tonic, I love the formula and how it brightens and clears my skin. It’s an amazing product for my combination skin! Recently Pixi expanded on their Glow Collection with some exciting new launches.

The range has the key ingredients of Glycolic Acid, Ginseng and Aloe Vera that the original Glow Tonic contains. But now there is a whole skincare range that you can incorporate into your skincare routine.

What’s In The Collection?

Glow Tonic Cleansing GelI

It Contains…

  • Glycolic Acid: To exfoliate the skin.
  • Aloe Vera: To soothe the skin.
  • Moisclean: To hydrate the skin.

The Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel has the staple ingredients of the Glow Tonic. So, it helps to brighten the skin and to gently remove dead skin cells.

It has a really lovely texture to it and after rinsing it off my skin felt really smooth and soft. It also looked a lot fresher and even.

It Contains…

  • Glycolic Acid: To exfoliate the skin.
  • Aloe Vera: To soothe the skin.
  • Ginseng: To soften the skin.

This is not a new launch from Pixi, if you’re a fan of Pixi you probably already know about the iconic Glow Tonic.

It’s a toner you apply after your cleanser and it balances and brightens the skin.

I won’t go into too much detail about this product as I have already written a very in depth blog post already about the Glow Tonic. I’ve used the Glow Tonic for 4 years now and it’s one of my firm favourite products. It works wonders for my combination skin and it’s alcohol free so it doesn’t dry out the skin at all.

Glow Tonic Serum

It contains …

  • Glycolic Acid: To exfoliate the skin.
  • Ginseng: To soften the skin.
  • Aloe Vera: To soothe the skin.

Because of my combination skin, I tend to be a little sceptical of using serums in excess. However, this serum surprised me in that it was very lightweight on the skin and really sank into the skin quickly. My skin didn’t feel overly oily or tacky after applying it and I was able to apply moisturiser afterwards. It made my skin look fresh and dewy, without making it look oily like a lot of serums I’ve tried in the past do. I’d say it would make a good serum if you, like me, have combination skin or find you secrete a lot of oil in your skin.

pHenomenal Gel Moistuiser

It contains…

  • Water Chestnut: To soften the skin.
  • Citric Acid: To brighten the skin.
  • Aloe Vera: To soothe the skin.

Out of all the products I tried from this new range, I’d have to say this is definitely my favourite. I love how lightweight the feeling of it is on my skin, but it really does give your skin a moisture boost. It’s soothing on the skin and really sinks into the skin easily. I have a feeling this would make a great moisturiser for the Summer time on account of it’s soothing feeling and lightweight formula.

On-The-Go Stick

It contains…

  • Vitamin D2: To brighten the skin.
  • Ginseng: To soften the skin.
  • Glycolic Acid: To exfoliate the skin.

This product has a really cool concept! It’s a solid, travel moisturiser which you twist up and apply from the stick to your skin. It’s great for traveling and it’s definitely something I’ll be using when I’m on the go. It’s more of a balm consistency when yo first put it on and you really don’t need a lot for it to go a long way. So, I’d say this would work well if you tend to get dryer skin or just want something handy for when you are on the go.

That concludes todays blog post with my thoughts on the new Pixi Glow Collection. I definitely think Pixi are really upping their game with the Glow Collection and added some real gems to their collection.

Have you tried any of the Pixi Glow Collection?
