Covent Garden’s Whimsical Cloud Display Supporting Mental Health

4th August 2024

If you are in London this summer you need to visit Covent Garden to see the new pop-up installed to promote mental health.

This summer, up until October, Covent Garden has been decorated to feature 40 inflatable clouds.

This photo features a woman in a flowing blue dress standing next to a black guide dog in a busy indoor market decorated with fluffy cloud ornaments hanging from the ceiling. The setting appears lively, with many people in the background, suggesting it is a popular and bustling location. The woman looks elegant and confident, and the guide dog is attentive and well-behaved. The colorful and whimsical decorations add a playful and enchanting atmosphere to the scene.

These clouds have been created by LA artists Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval in collaboration with Campaign Against Living Miserably or CALM which has been designed to help those living with depression and suicidal thoughts.

These smiling clouds measuring four feet long have been placed all around the market with QR codes where you can donate to the campaign.

With its colourful floral displays, this new installation certainly makes a welcome feature to Covent Garden and is well worth the visit to take some photos this summer and also to find out more about the campaign.

In this photo, the woman in the flowing blue dress stands confidently on a cobblestone street, accompanied by a black guide dog. Behind her, a large, cheerful cloud decoration hangs between two columns, adding a playful and whimsical touch to the scene. The woman appears to be in a charming urban setting, with a building entrance and potted plants visible in the background. She holds part of her dress in one hand and the dog's leash in the other, striking a poised and graceful pose. The overall atmosphere is lively and enchanting, blending elegance with a touch of fantasy.

Like me, if you are an avid Instagrammer, this spot is perfect for taking a photo, adding that whimsical and jovial touch to any photograph.

This was certainly the perfect opportunity to adorn my beloved Selkie “Head in the Clouds” print dress to take some aesthetic shots with my guide dog Rose.

Either way, its worth checking out this summer before it finishes this Autumn.
