Valentines Day is fast approaching and whether you are spending it with that special someone or hanging out with your pals you can be sure to find a fun way to spend it with Wonder Days.
Wonder Days is a website offering a host of experience days up and down the UK that you can gift for someone else or as a gift to yourself.
They offer a range of experiences from food and drink, sightseeing, days out, tours and trips away.
They start from as little as £25 and you can either purchase vouchers to spend on the website or an experience which can be redeemed or exchanged for something else.
Being a foodie I decided to try out the “Dining Experience with Cocktails For 2” at Marco Pierre White’s London Steakhouse Company.
Marco Pierre was the first British chef to be awarded three Michelin stars and has a number of restaurants around the UK.

I’ve never been to one of Marco Pierre White’s restaurant and I thought this experience would be a good way to try the experience.
For £65 you can get a three course dining experience with a choice of cocktail for two people or £75 for three.

The restaurant is located in Shoreditch, a short walk from Liverpool Street Station and the hustle and bustle of Spitalfields Market and Brick Lane.
This experience can be redeemed from Sunday-Thursday and pre-booking in advance is strongly encouraged by the restaurant.
We arrived early and had a 10 minute wait before our table was ready, we were offered a coat hanger for our coats and lead to our table by a welcoming waiter.
When you arrive you will be given a set menu to chose from when dining from the Wonder Days Experience, the menu has some classic staples like a Prawn Cocktail and Smoked Salmon for starters.
Our experience entitled us to three courses and a cocktail to chose, I will admit I felt that the cocktail menu was slightly lacking for options that I normally like.
I’m a Bramble or Raspberry Mojito kind of girl, but in the end I went for the Cranberry Blush which came with Vodka and no surprise….cranberry juice.

I’ll admit this reminded me of my university days when I used to order a Cranberry and Vodka, before I discovered Gin!
For starters I tried the Smoked Salmon which came with blinis, cream and watercress garnish.
The salmon was pretty good, flavourful and cooked well and all round a good starter to begin with.
For main I settled on a steak, although it’s worth noting that the steak does come on its own without any sides or salad.
Which I did feel was a bit of a let down considering my parents both got mashed potato with their beef bourguignon which both said was very good.

I ended up paying an extra £6 for a side of fries as after all, who doesn’t want chips with a steak?
But, the steak was a generous portion and came with a sauce of choice.
For dessert I had a Lemon Posset which was fresh and light after the steak, it also came with a raspberry coulee on top making it both citrus and slightly tangy.

Overall, I did enjoy this dining experience and its another experience I can say I’ve ticked off my list, but I would say that people should keep in mind the things I’ve mentioned below.
On the whole I did enjoy my dining experience, but there are some things I think my readers should know if you choose this experience.
