Luke Jerram’s latest interstellar installation has arrived at Greenwich.

If, like me, you’re in search of some Instagram-worthy locations to visit this winter then a trip to Greenwich’s The Painted Hall could be on the cards.

Luke Jerram’s latest installation – Helios has landed at The Painted Hall where it will be will remain until March 25.

This latest seven-metre installation named after the Roman and Greek sun god has been co-commissioned by the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich and can be found within the stunning selling of the 18th century baroque Painted Hall which has been used in many films and TV shows over the years.

At a scale of 1:2000 million, this model of the sun using photos of the Sun provided by Astrophotographer Dr Stuart Green and NASA observations of the Sun, with guidance from solar scientist and UCL Professor Lucie Green of University College London (UCL).

The installation also accompanies interstellar soundscapes to add to the experience along with information about this latest display from this popular artist.

The Painted Hall is without a doubt one of the most visually spectacular venues to host Helios at and this is sure to be a favourite with photographers and content creators.

Tickets start from £16.50 and you can see it up until March 25.
